
Work positions:
- Service Positions: This would include Taking orders, working the cash register, expediting orders, Customer service, handing out orders in the Drive thru, and cleaning tasks.
- Grill Positions: This would include cooking food, assembling food, stocking and cleaning tasks.
- Maintenance positions: In this position the individual would be responsible for cleaning, scrubbing, cleaning bathrooms, Cleaning vats and grills, maintaining stock room organization, outside lot work, changing trash cans, cleaning up after customers, scrubbing walls. If you are interested in this position please let Amber know at orientation. We will pay more for a qualified person.
Schedules-
We try our best to accommodate you with a flexible schedule. We pre-set your schedule before you come based on the needs of the restaurant. We will give you an availability at the beginning of work so that you will be able to find a second job if needed. We do not set days off. You will be scheduled for at least 2 full days off a week. Once your schedules are made they are set unless otherwise discussed with your store manager.Working with your friends-
If you have traveled here in a group, with a boyfriend or girlfriend, or with your friends. We generally break you up so that you are individually placed at separate stores. We have found that living together and working together causes strains on your relationships and makes a better work environment by doing the above. Please do not ask to change this. The schedules are pre-set before you get here.Pay Policy-
The pay periods runs from the 1st-15th and the 16th- End of month. Pay day for the periods are the 6th and 21st of each month. Checks may be picked up during the hours of 2:30pm-5:00pm and after 7:00pm.Break Policy-
If you work over 6 hours you will be given an un-paid 30-minute break. We do not give smoke breaks, please do not ask.Meal Policy-
Employees may receive their 50% discounted meal during their breaks, before or after their shift. The following rules apply when receiving your discounted meal.- You must be 15 minutes early for you scheduled shift.
- Employee must go through the line just like the customer.
- A manager must sign the receipt for the meal and a receipt must be kept by in the register as proof of purchase.
- Employee meals must be consumed on the premises.
Uniforms-
- A clean, neat, pressed and tucked in McDonalds shirt
- Hat/visor
- Name tag, placed on the right side of your shirt
- Pressed black slacks worn at the waist. If needed the store will provide you with a pair of black slacks.
- Black restaurant shoes with slip resistant sole shoes.
- An apron when working in the grill area
- You represent McDonalds and you should always dress and perform professionally.
- Personal hygiene should include: daily bathing, clean hair; use deodorant, brush teeth, clean hands and fingernails (short, clean and well manicured).
- Male Employees: You must keep your hair at collar length or shorter and restrained under a hat. Shave daily in order to maintain a clean-shaven appearance. Mustaches and sideburns are to be kept neatly trimmed. Beards are not permitted.
- Female Employees: You must keep your hair under control. This means all loose ends must be pulled back in a bun or braid. No excessive make-up or nail polish.
- Employees should wear a minimal amount of jewelry to reduce the risk of getting caught in equipment and/or falling off. Necklaces must be tucked inside of your shirt. One earring per ear, no hoops or anything that dangles. No visible body piercings are to be worn while working. Nothing is to worn on your wrists, this includes watches.
Hand washing Policy-
We have strict guidelines we must follow to ensure the facility stays sanitary. Please follow these basic guidelines-- Wash your hands before your clock in
- Wash your hands if you touch anything dirty- likes after you sweep and mop, change garbage, touch your face or hair.
- Wash your hands after you use the restroom and then again once you go behind the counter
- You must wash your hand once per hour (we have a timer to remind you)
Employee of the Month-
Every month each store is to pick an employee of the month. This employee is to have worked with us for more than 45 days. Employees of the Month are based on your performance, dependability, personal appearance and attitude. These employees will receive free food for the month.Rookie of the Month:

At the beginning of every month a new calendar will be posted in the crew room or by schedules. Randomly chosen days will have a free cheeseburger, cookie or sundae on them. If you are working that day you are allowed to get that particular item on your break or after your shift. Each employee is allowed only one free item.We will review ALL additional policies at Orientation
